Boomerang Tube LLC Appoints New CEO Ahead of 2019 Expansion Plans

Poised for Aggressive Growth, the Board of Directors at Leading Producer of Oil Country Tubular Goods Elects Paul DeWeese as its Next Chief Executive Officer

LIBERTY, Texas, Jan. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Boomerang Tube LLC, an oil country tubular goods (OCTG) producer, is pleased to announce the selection of its new chief executive officer, Paul DeWeese. An executive with 20 years of demonstrated achievements in new market penetration, business growth and performance improvement, DeWeese brings a diversified portfolio of oilfield, industrial and government industry experience to the Liberty, Texas, based company. He joins Boomerang Tube’s established team of reputable tenure, focused on customer development and process improvements for the coming year.

“We are proud to welcome Paul as the CEO of our prospering organization. Positioned for significant growth in 2019, the board is confident in Paul’s ability to lead Boomerang Tube to continued success,” said John Fontana, chairman at Boomerang Tube. “His impressive background demonstrates a proven expertise for increased profitability, product development and operational excellence in the oil and gas market. Previously, DeWeese served as the chief executive officer for three major corporations in the oil, gas and industrial markets — including Epic Industrial Solutions, LLC, Southwest Oilfield Products, Inc. and Socotherm S.p.A. He launched and facilitated global operations, while achieving significant growth for each company. Prior to Socotherm, DeWeese was president of a world leading welding systems company — CRC-Evans Automatic Welding. In addition, he spent 13 years in various leadership roles at Cameron International Corporation, handling its centrifugal compressor and reciprocating compressor aftermarket business.

“It is truly an honor to be chosen as Boomerang Tube’s CEO, and I am readily prepared to spearhead the company’s aggressive 2019 goals,” said Paul DeWeese, CEO at Boomerang Tube LLC. “Backed by strong investors, knowledgeable owners, a world-class team and one of the best plants in the industry, Boomerang Tube is poised and ready to do great things. This year we will target zero lost time incidences, 400,000 tons of product shipment and an overall growth rate of 35 percent.”

DeWeese earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Regis University with Cum Laude and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is an active member of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA), the Petroleum Equipment & Services Association (PESA), the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), the International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) and the Pipe Line Contractors Association (PLCA). In addition, DeWeese serves on the board of directors for Capstone Turbine Corporation — a developer and manufacturer of clean-and-green microturbine power generation systems.

DeWeese’s role as CEO at Boomerang Tube is effective as of January 9, 2019. He currently resides in Houston, Texas.
