Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 3.56% or 0.920 points to trade at 26.725 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 1.22% or 0.710 points to end at 58.790 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 0.61% or 0.310 points to 51.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which fell 3.55% or 0.440 points to trade at 11.940 at the close. B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) declined 2.71% or 0.047 points to end at 1.687 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 2.51% or 0.310 points to 12.060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 66 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.22% or 0.710 to 58.790.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.71% or 9.07 to $1269.03 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.45% or 0.79 to hit $55.33 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.73% or 1.05 to trade at $61.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1608, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.87.
