LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Three inmates were pronounced dead at Southern Nevada prisons over three consecutive days, according to state officials.
The first death was Marc McCurdy, 70, who was pronounced dead at Southern Desert Correctional Center on Thursday, March 13, the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) announced.
McCurdy was serving a prison sentence for DUI, third offense.
The second death was Montana Munday, 36, who was pronounced dead at High Desert State Prison on Friday, March 14.
Munday was serving time for a robbery conviction with a deadly weapon enhancement.
The third death was Craig Crosby, 55, who was also serving a sentence for a DUI conviction at High Desert State Prison. He was pronounced dead on Saturday, March 15.
NDOC said autopsies were requested in all three men's deaths. Munday's death has been ruled a suicide, per the Clark County Coroner's Office. Rulings for the deaths of Crosby and McCurdy are still pending.
